Remi and the Cocodo Band plays an exhilarating blend of Afro beat fusion-laced with jazz and Tanzanian rhythms in the traditional Gonga style. The Cocodo live performances have been described as pulsating and euphoric.

In May 2019, the band has celebrated its 10 years anniversary. Currently, the band is composed with one drum, one bass guitar, 2 guitars (one acoustic, one electric), one marimba, traditional percussions, one accordion and vocals.

Music with a message

The band plays music with messages that resonate with the everyday lives of their fans; they sing about giving back to the society, creating awareness on various issues that affect Tanzanian communities. They also sing about their beautiful motherland and the joy of growing up in Africa, keeping it real with their Swahili lyrics.
